Our returning clients in MERCER ISLAND are seeking a capable, organized, and proactive part-time household manager/family assistant to join their team! The exact schedule and total hours are all relatively flexible, but they hope to find someone who can provide them with some evening and weekend support or a total of approximately 10-15 hours per week starting anytime between now and late January.

The ideal candidate for this position is someone who can be an intuitive right hand to mom and dad. This will be a dynamic blended role that changes each day, so their perfect match will be someone with a positive and flexible attitude, the ability to multitask and the willingness to jump into whatever need is in front of them; some days this may mean leaning into household responsibilities like running errands, stocking the fridge, or scheduling appointments—some days it may mean providing an extra set of hands with their darling kiddos, who are 2 & 4. Mom is expecting their third in early 2022, so it’s important that they find someone who is comfortable around babies as well as older children and has some experience with at least basic infant care. Their home is waterfront, so it’s also important that anyone working with this family be reasonably comfortable being in/near water. This family also has a second home in Maple Valley that they visit frequently, so they are hopeful that their assistant will be open to working from either location! Additional hours may be available for candidates with estate management experience who would be willing to take on property management tasks for the second home on top of their family assistant responsibilities.

Pay will be $35-40/hour DOE with guaranteed hours, PTO, accrued sick time and paid holidays. This family is a long time client of ours and one of our all-time favorite families to work with! We are so excited to help them connect with the right person to join their team.  If you think it could be you, apply today! :)

**COVID VACCINATION & BOOSTER REQUIRED**

Our newest clients are seeking full-time care for their 17-month old son at their home in Ballard beginning ASAP.   They are also expecting a baby this Spring that will not need care until mom returns to work in late Summer.   Ideally they'd love   a 7am-3pm schedule, but can offer some flexibility on that for the right person!   They'd also love to  be able to call on their nanny for occasional date nights if availability allows.

Both parents currently working from home, but will be out of the way on the 3rd floor of the house and interaction with their nanny will be kept to a minimum during the day.   Once baby arrives, mom will be on maternity leave so it's important that their nanny be comfortable sharing space with parents at least some of the time. That said, they'd love their nanny to  be someone who  will enjoy getting out and about  for fresh air and new experiences for their son--   you won't be cooped up inside in this job!

Their ideal nanny match will be compassionate and  active with a  genuine love of spending time with young children. 1 SMALL DOG

One of our all-time favorite client families is seeking a part-time nanny/family assistant to provide childcare and some light household support at their home in West Seattle beginning  as soon as they connect with the right fit!  They're excited to welcome someone wonderful into their family and they hope they'll meet that person sooner than later :)

Mom works full-time from home in her private office on the lower level.   Her 5-year-old son is just starting kindergarten and is with her full-time when he's not in school; having an extra pair of hands to assist with some after-school child care,  household support, and weekly date nights will be a game changer for this single mama! Her core scheduling needs are Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays , and every other Friday from 1:30-4:30pm + a weekly date night (Wednesday or Saturday evening). For candidates who desire additional  hours,  she can  flex to offer another shift either Wednesday afternoons or   the other Fridays, OR  to shift the working hours to 12:30-5:30 on Mon/Tues/Thurs/every other Friday. Total hours can land anywhere from  16-20+ hours per week depending on the needs and availability of their nanny.

Her little guy is in school until 2:30, so this position will  begin each working day with some light household support until it's time to pick him up! Responsibilities may include things like helping with family laundry, running local errands, doing some grocery shopping or some simple meal prep (packing school  lunches,   throwing together a salad, etc). Someone who has experience managing a household-- be it personally or professionally -- will be super valuable to this family!  Mom is excited to partner with someone who will enjoy managing their own time and who has a good eye for identifying what needs to be done with little oversight. Since there will be some local driving required, a responsible driving history and valid license is required; a family vehicle can be made available if their nanny prefers not to use their own car. It's also important that their nanny be dog-friendly as they have a small, friendly miniature Italian greyhound.

When  her son is  at home,  this position will be childcare-focused. On a typical weekday, you'll  handle school pick-up, prepare a nutritious snack, and engage with him during his after-school routine and wind-down time until mom finishes work at 5:30.  He is a bright, playful kiddo who loves art, dressing up, creative play, and of course LEGOS :)  He's a ton of fun and excited to have a new friend to play with! Date night coverage will likely include feeding him dinner and taking him through the full evening/bedtime routine.

This family has budgeted $25/hour for this role and they're pleased to offer paid sick time as well as guaranteed hours. Their nanny can look forward to a collaborative relationship with a mom who deeply appreciates the role this person will play in their family!

The exact schedule will vary a bit from month to month, but is determined well in advance and dad is happy to offer an average minimum of 40 hours per week. Work hours will generally be mid-afternoon to late evenings during the week, and 2-3 weekend days per month from 7am-7pm (typically swapped for a weekday shift). 1 ELDERLY DOG

Our    new clients in the Central District are seeking a reliable, engaged and loving nanny for their darling 4-month old girl beginning the first week of July when mom returns to work.

They need 40 hours per week; ideally M-F 8am-4pm but they have a little flexibility on the exact schedule. Mom and Dad describe their perfect nanny match as someone who is invested, development-minded, kind and communicative-- they'd like someone who has playful and bubbly energy, a positive attitude and a great sense of humor about life. Their nanny should enjoy spending time with babies and have infant care experience, and will be able to engage with their daughter in creative ways-- someone with a background in the arts would be a big plus!

1 CAT + 3 DUCKS

Our Ballard clients are seeking reliable care for their two kiddos (7 & 9) beginning ASAP. They were initially looking for part-time arrangement, but their needs have evolved to be more full-time for the summer and potentially beyond. Their children are happy, playful kiddos who enjoy each other's company. Their son has a mild form of autism spectrum disorder and ADHD, but is very bright, engaged, thoughtful and a great listener--he just experiences a few extra challenges. Their daughter is social, playful and active-- she'd enjoy a nanny companion who will engage her in imaginative play, reading, or spending time in fresh air on her scooter or bike!

Mom & dad describe their ideal match as someone who is engaged, warm and reliable with solid age-group experience. They should be excited about spending time with two school-aged kiddos who have different interests and personalities, and should be up to the task of managing their after-school routine and keeping everyone on track. Our wonderful new clients in MAGNOLIA are seeking full-time loving care for their 3-month-old & 2.5 year-old little girls beginning in early May.  Their core scheduling needs are 8:30am-5pm Monday-Friday for a total of 42.5 hours per week, and they’re excited to welcome the right nanny into their family!

Theirs is a relaxed, loving family who have enjoyed great relationships with previous caregivers!  Mom and dad both work full-time outside the home, and are hoping to hire a nanny who is excited about working autonomously with little oversight throughout the day—they will trust their nanny with real ownership of this position! Their nanny should be to comfortable taking initiative in planning age-appropriate activities and outings for the girls while helping their little one develop and maintain a healthy daily eat/sleep/play routine. Baby sis is a happy, relaxed infant who is currently a reliable sleeper on a 3-hour cycle. Big sister is enrolled in part-time preschool and is an active, energetic toddler who loves to play, create and be outside as much as possible! Both girls take consistent naps.

This family describes their ideal nanny as someone who is active and playful with a background or knowledge in education and/or child development. It’s important to them that their nanny have experience caring for both infants and toddlers, and that they are up-to-date on best practices (current CPR certifications, safe infant sleep, carseat safety etc). Their toddler has loads of energy, so the right nanny for them will be an engaged, fun-loving companion who isn’t afraid to be silly and who doesn’t mind a spontaneous dance party or sing-along! The girls will be the focus of this position, but mom and dad do request a hand with very light kid-related housekeeping tasks such as doing a load of baby laundry, washing bottles or snack dishes, etc). Our returning NNW client is seeking a flexible, capable, loving nanny to add to his family’s care team beginning ASAP! Their beloved part-time nanny is moving out of state and they are eager to find the right person to fill her shoes.

Their nanny will be primarily responsible for a sweet, bright and curious 3-year-old boy who adores his caregivers! He is thriving in Montessori preschool, loves to play and explore, and is an excellent sleeper. He spends 2 weekends a month with his mother, though he lives the majority of his time with dad. He also has three older siblings (10, 14, & 14) who live with dad ½ time and are very self-sufficient; dad says the focus of this position is 90% 3-year-old and 10% time with the whole family. They are hopeful they’ll connect with the right nanny for a start date by April 1.

The person they hire will be joining a nanny team of two additional caregivers (one full-time, one part-time). This position does require a certain degree of flexibility as the family’s scheduling needs can look a bit different from week to week, but scheduling does generally follow a consistent pattern and is planned several weeks in advance. Their primary need will be Saturdays and Sundays from 7am-7pm and generally one overnight shift during the week. On weekends when he is with his mother, the weekend daytime hours will not be needed but their nanny will likely work a Sunday evening shift to close out the weekend with him. Dad can offer additional hours during other days of those "off" weeks to maintain a guaranteed weekly average.

Dad travels frequently for work and relies on his care team to be rock-solid so reliability is an absolute must in this position! He describes his ideal candidate as someone who employs a calm approach coupled with plenty of energy to keep up with a busy preschooler; they should be a confident communicator and a flexible team player who also has the ability to work independently. They should have at least three years of experience with young children, and they must be dog-friendly as this family has a tiny yorkie! Their nanny must be a responsible driver who is comfortable transporting children; a family vehicle will be provided for on-the-job use. Flexibility to travel is a major plus as there also will be opportunities to accompany the family on trips to Lake Chelan and/or Palm Springs.

Our newest clients in GREENLAKE are seeking full-time+ help beginning ASAP! If you’ve been looking for a fun, full-time, long-term role with a welcoming and dynamic family…this could be the job you’ve been wishing for!

Mom and dad describe their family as fun, loving, active, and friendly—and they’re really excited to welcome a nanny into their lives! They have four children; a quiet and self-sufficient 12-year old boy, an artistic and expressive 6-year-old girl, an energetic and dynamic 4-year-old boy, and a delightful 2-year-old girl. Ideally, they’d love help from 9am-6pm Monday-Friday, but they can be flexible on scheduling for the right person. Their two eldest are in school 2-3 days per week (+ online the other weekdays), and their 4-year-old attends part-time preschool M-Th, so their nanny will spend the most time with their youngest. A typical day will include doing school pickups, supervising distance learning on the days the big kids are at home, preparing healthy snacks and lunches, and otherwise just spending fun and engaging quality time with the kiddos. Mom and dad ask for some light kid-related housekeeping (loading the dishwasher, making sure the kids clean up after themselves, etc) and they utilize a professional housekeeping service for deeper cleaning.

The right person for this role will have age-appropriate childcare experience, and ideally experience working with several children at once. Since this position involves navigating the needs of a family with multiple children across a range of ages, mom and dad say that a nanny who has raised a family of their own would be a huge bonus for them! Their nanny should possess high emotional maturity and be fun-loving, creative, nurturing and kind. They must be a responsible driver, and it’s important that their nanny be a reliable person with excellent organization/time management skills. They should enjoy finding ways to engage all the kids in different ways, and should also be comfortable sharing space with a parent in the home at least part-time many days. A nanny who will encourage the kids’ love for science and curiosity about the world will be a great match for them! Lastly, this family does have two short-haired kitties, so it’s also important that their nanny be cat-friendly.

This position offers a rate of $30-35/hour DOE with paid overtime, guaranteed hours, paid vacation, paid holidays, a healthcare stipend, and accrued sick time. They also offer access to a Family Vehicle for on-the-job use. Apply today for immediate consideration!

Both boys are on the autism spectrum and experience different related challenges (little brother is non-verbal but highly intelligent, and big brother is verbal but cognitive delayed) but both of them are happy and playful and take well to caregivers. They are excited to welcome their next great fit into their family!
This family lives in North Seattle (near Haller Lake) but the boys attend private ABA therapy school in Redmond. Our lovely returning NNW clients are seeking a caring, mature, and responsible nanny to care for their 9-year old son beginning ASAP. They've enjoyed a fantastic relationship with their beloved long-term nanny, but she is unfortunately injured and insure if she will ever be able to return to work. For this reason, mom and dad have made the difficult decision to pursue alternative arrangements and they look forward to building another strong connection with their next nanny!
Their son is on the spectrum and has limited expressive language, but is in virtually all other ways a typical playful 9 year old boy who loves music, art and reading. He is thriving in online school and with his daily in-home therapist! Mom and dad says they are seeking a partner in care who will be able to keep their son engaged after "school", prepare nourishing snacks for him, transport him to a handful of activities and appointments, and help with dishes and putting away laundry. Their ideal match will be rock-solid reliable, patient and caring, and able to commit to at least a year with their family; a experience with special needs would be a plus but not required. Mom and dad are both currently working from home so their nanny should also be comfortable with this arrangement.

Our newest clients in Montlake are seeking a capable, nurturing, and fun-loving nanny for a long-term position with their family. Their household is a busy one with two working parents and four kiddos ages infant to six! They need full-time help between the hours of ~7:45am am to 5pm M-F (46.5-47.5 hours per week) and look forward to jumping in with their next nanny as soon as they connect with the right fit. They have enjoyed long term relationships with their past nannies and are excited about forging another close bond with someone new.

Mom will be home on maternity leave until May and dad works 100% remotely from the basement, so their nanny must be comfortable sharing space with parents while everyone’s in the home. With that said, these parents are very dedicated to staying out of sight and firmly enforce boundaries with the kiddos— when the nanny is there, they're the one in charge. Their neighborhood is very walkable, but they also provide access to a dedicated nanny minivan so the world is your oyster for kid-friendly adventures; they hope their nanny will enjoy planning outings, activities and fun projects to keep the kids busy, learning, and experiencing new things!

While mom is still home with baby, their nanny’s primary responsibility will be the three older children. Currently their oldest attends virtual school for about one hour in the mornings but they hope he’ll be able to attend in-person school at some point this spring. If and when that happens, their nanny will handle drop offs/pickup (walking distance) and hang with the two middle boys mid-day. Once mom returns to work, baby sis will be in the mix with the nanny too.

This family describes their ideal nanny match as someone who is caring, dedicated, cheerful and proactive. They should be a confident communicator and open to regular exchange of feedback and ideas, with good time management skills and the ability to juggle many balls at once (life with four kids!). It’s important that their nanny be a proactive person who naturally takes initiative when there’s something that needs attention. The best candidate for this job will be patient, imaginative, and playful with the energy to keep up with 4 busy kiddos!

It’s also very important that their nanny be queer-friendly as one parent is openly gender fluid/non-binary.

This position is primarily childcare-focused but the parents will appreciate help with child-related tidying (loading kid dishes into the dishwasher, child laundry) though they encourage their nanny to involve their children in these tasks as often as possible. Their current nanny may run an occasional errand here and there while out with the kids, but this is not a regular expectation of the job.

They look forward to welcoming their nanny as an extension of their family and hope to grow with this person for many years to come so this is an incredible opportunity to step into a long-term position and truly become part of an amazing family!

This family offers a rate of $28-32/hour + overtime, 46.5 guaranteed hours per week, 9 paid holidays, 2 weeks of discretionary PTO, and a $200 monthly healthcare stipend.

Our newest clients in FAIRWOOD are in search of a wonderful caregiver for their 8-year-old twin girls beginning as soon as they connect with the right match.
Their twins are sweet, playful, and loving little girls! One of their twins has a rare genetic disease and a seizure disorder, and is developmentally delayed as a result. She is fully verbal and fairly self-sufficient (she can feed herself, play independently, walk/run) but she needs toddler-level supervision, so their nanny will need to stay near her and hold her hand when she's walking on hard surfaces since she falls a lot with her seizures.
A typical day for their nanny will include arriving to help the girls get ready for their day; preparing breakfast, getting them dressed and prepared for school. The twins are in zoom school from 8:30am-12:30pm and they need supervision to make sure they're staying on task and muting/un-muting their mics when it's their turn to speak. Once school is out for the day, the real fun begins! Their nanny will have the freedom to plan projects and activities to keep the girls busy and having fun for the remainder of the day, with a little homework time thrown in the mix.
Mom says the ideal nanny for their family will be patient, mature, kind and full of energy who will feel like an extension of their family. Someone who can be playful & fun-loving but firm with the girls when needed is a must! They also ask that their nanny has her own reliable vehicle for getting to work and for occasional driving with the girls to local destinations.
The girls split their time between two households, but mom and dad live a mile from each other in the same neighborhood. Two days per week will be spent at dad's house and two days per week will be spent at mom's house; dad works from home but will be largely out of the way and mom works full-time outside the home. Their ideal schedule would be Mon/Tues 8am-4pm at dad's house + Thurs/Fri 7am-5pm at mom's house, though Monday could switch to Wednesdays if their nanny would prefer a 3-day weekend instead of a day off in the middle week. They can commit to a minimum of 35 hours per week and ask for a commitment of at least one year; consistency is key for their girls!
This family offers a rate of $20-25/hour DOE. Apply today for immediate consideration!

1 SMALL DOG

Our newest clients in West Seattle are looking for full-time care for their 5-month-old baby girl beginning as soon as they connect with the right fit. They'd like between 30-40 hours per week and will need help for at least the next six months, possibly a bit longer until they put their daughter into a group care program, which they intend to do in late Spring 2021.

Their ideal nanny has solid infant care experience, is engaged and nurturing, responsible and safety-minded, and is taking COVID seriously; they ask that masks be worn at least initially. Mom speaks Spanish so finding an English/Spanish bilingual candidate would be a huge bonus, but not a hard requirement.

Both parents will be working from home for the foreseeable future, though they are in their own space away from where their nanny will be spending most of her time with baby. They also have a sweet 10-lb mini greyhound mix so their nanny needs to be dog-friendly.

This family is pleased to offer a rate of $20-25/hour with guaranteed hours, paid time off, accrued sick time, paid holidays, and paid overtime. Apply today for immediate consideration!

FILLED: FLEXIBLE SUPER NANNY/EDUCATOR FOR TWINS

1 DOG

Our incredible return clients in Queen Anne are looking for the right person to join their family as a powerhouse nanny and education partner for their 7-year-old boy/girl twins beginning ASAP. They have total flexibility as to what their schedule might look like and are most focused on finding a perfect fit--everything else is negotiable. This means that depending on the needs and availability of their dream candidate, they could offer as few as 15 hours per week (3 x 5-hour days) or as many as 40 hours per week. The time they need the most support is between the hours of 8:30am-1pm while the twins are attending online school so ideally their nanny will work at least during those hours, but again they have some flexibility depending on the availability of the right person. They need someone to commit at least through the end of 2020, though something longer-term would be a nice bonus!

Normally, their twins attend the Bertschi school in Capitol Hill but the school is currently providing a robust online curriculum for its students. Mom and dad will be trusting their nanny with the responsibility of ensuring the twins are engaged, on-task and staying organized and motivated during "school"; they will provide an additional supplemental stipend for these education hours. Since there is a technical component attached to online learning, it's important to them that their nanny be somewhat tech-savvy and able to troubleshoot basic tech stuff (restarting a wifi router, logging into Zoom, making sure a computer mic is turned on). If/when school resumes in-person, their nanny will be responsible for driving to/from school and activities, managing homework etc. and staying on top of school events and paperwork. At that point, hours and responsibilities may shift a bit to account for the kids being back in school but this family is committed to keeping the right person and will flex as much as they can to keep things as consistent as possible.

Mom and dad have described their ideal fit as someone who is dynamic and playful, organized, engaged and confident setting clear expectations and boundaries with the kiddos. They'd like their nanny to live an active lifestyle and have some passions or interests to share with their family! Someone who can goof around kicking a soccer ball one minute and then firmly lay down the law on homework time the next. Mom is home and will be in and out of the house during the day, so their nanny needs to be comfortable with this arrangement. Their nanny must have a reliable, kid-friendly vehicle for on-the-job use and he or she must be a dog lover; they have a mellow, old, mini Aussie!

This is an AMAZING family who we've had the pleasure of working with in the past--their previous nannies are more than happy to provide a reference for how wonderful they are! This job offers competitive hourly rate, guaranteed hours very generous paid time off, paid mileage, accrued sick time, bonuses, and travel opportunities. Apply today for immediate consideration!

Our newest Seattle clients in are in search of a super capable and loving family assistant to become a valued member of their team. Ideally they'd love to connect with the right person as quickly as possible, but they are willing to wait for the just-right fit! Their ideal schedule would be Mon-Thurs or Tues-Fri (or a rotating schedule from one to the other week-to-week) from 11am-6pm for a total of 30 hours per week. Additional hours may be made available if their nanny is seeking a more full-time commitment.

The right person for this job will be warm, extroverted, organized, and confident managing the daily rhythm a busy household. The responsibilities of this position are a blend of household management tasks and childcare/companionship for their three children (ages 11, 11, and 16). All three kids will be attending online school in the fall, so their family assistant should be excited about helping them stay on task, motivated, and active during the day. Someone who is playful and fun-loving, yet skilled at maintaining clear expectations within a relaxed environment will be successful in this role!

In addition to caring for the kids and supervising their online schooling, their assistant will also be responsible for daily household operations including managing the family calendar, grocery shopping, and running errands. Help with dinner prep is also part of this job so the right candidate should be comfortable preparing very simple, healthy meals (think: grilled chicken and veggies). This family employs a weekly housekeeper so no heavy cleaning is required, but a hand with some light housekeeping tasks (wiping down counters, loading/unloading the dishwasher, etc) to keep the house tidy and organized is appreciated!

This family has enjoyed really positive experiences with their nannies for the past 15+ years, and they are very excited to welcome someone new into their lives! This is a dream opportunity for someone who is looking to grow within a position long-term and put their experience and skills to great use. Apply today!

Two busy working moms are seeking a full-time nanny for their two children, ages 3 months and 3 years. Their schedule will have some flex from week-to-week but will generally fall between 50-60 hours per week between the hours of 7am-7pm. Their ideal nanny candidate will be warm, playful, engaged, responsible and a confident communicator with a keen sense of professional boundaries. He or she should have both infant and toddler experience, ideally with some background or knowledge of Montessori methods. They require a commitment of at least 6 months (to Spring 2021), and hope to connect with the right person as soon as possible for a late August start date.

Both parents will be working from home at least part of the time for the next few months, but they're working on figuring out a solid plan to work out of the house as COVID restrictions progress. Their nanny should be comfortable with sharing the home with one or both parents at times, but both will be making an effort to stay out of sight during their work hours and encourage their nanny to take the kiddos out and about as much as possible! They would love to see their children spend time outdoors every day rain or shine, and to be exposed to new places and activities around the city as weather and COVID restrictions allow.

COVID safety is a priority for this family, so their nanny should be in good health and comfortable maintaining a small personal circle and practicing social distancing both at work and at home. A nanny who has their own personal vehicle would be a plus, but this is not an absolute requirement as they live in a fairly walkable neighborhood with lots to see and do close by!

This family is pleased to offer a competitive hourly rate + significant overtime, plus paid vacation, sick time and holidays. Apply today!

Our newest Eastside clients are in need of part-time care for their darling baby boy at their home in Issaquah beginning as soon as they find the right fit. Their needs are fairly flexible, but ideally they'd like coverage 3 consecutive days per week from 7:30/8am until 5pm. They are happy to guarantee 25-30 hours per week and would consider adding in a 4th day for the right candidate!

Mom and dad are low-key, warm and easy to communicate with; they're super excited about welcoming a nanny into their family! Their son is a happy, healthy, sweet little guy who loves to crawl and explore his world. He also has a 4 year old big sister, but she attends full-time preK and their nanny would only ever be responsible for her care on days when she's not at school (higher rate would apply for these days). They'd like to find a nanny who will enjoy taking him on walks and outings, to classes, or just getting down on the floor to play with their little guy so plenty of energy is a must! Someone who is loving and easy going, with great judgement and plenty of confidence caring for a busy baby boy will be the best fit for this family. They hope that their nanny will grow to feel like a valued member of their family, and are excited to partner with her for at least one year. This family does have a small senior dog (a maltese-yorkie) who sleeps most of the day, but all candidates should be comfortable with small dogs. A driver's license and reliable transportation is required for outings!

This position pays $20-22/hr DOE and offers guaranteed hours, sick time, paid holidays and paid time off! Apply today!

*This family is open to the possibility of a nanny share, and would potentially consider a nanny who has her own accompanying child of similar age to their son*
